Skydive

Imagine the exhilaration of skydiving from a plane at 15,000ft, the highest height you can jump from in the UK! After 60 seconds of freefall your parachute opens, enabling you to take in the beautiful views of up to 5 counties and the sea!

This once in a lifetime experience is one that you’ll remember for the rest of your life. Sound good? We think so too.

Take to the skies for a good cause!

We have opportunities to skydive with Skydive Buzz in Devon, or you can take part in our skydive day on 21 September 2024 at GoSkydive in Salisbury. Find out how you can take part in the event here.

If you can’t join us in September, don’t worry, you can choose a date and time to suit you. We’re partnered with Go Skydive and Skydive Buzz, who you can sign up with at any point!

Your fundraising will help us to provide compassionate care and support for people in our community with a life-limiting illness. Our focus is on quality of life, helping patients to live well and die well. We give care and support to patients and their families across a 700sq mile area, which includes Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) and part of Wiltshire and Somerset.

You’ll be attached to an experienced instructor for a tandem skydive jump and they control the free fall, parachute opening and landing so you can just enjoy every second of this amazing experience. Your friends and family can all watch as you take on the challenge of a lifetime.

We also run a Jump for Free Scheme allowing you to fundraise and use a portion of your sponsorship to cover the cost of the jump. Sign up to jump below!

Make sure to select the Jump for Free option when offered if you’d like to make use of the scheme.

Kelvin's skydive story

Take to the skies with fellow Dorothy House jumpers whilst raising vital funds for the Hospice!

One of our incredible supporters, Kelvin, challenged himself to a skydive to raise vital funds for Dorothy House after his wife died at the Hospice in 2019. From the incredible nurses and staff who cared for his wife during her stay on the IPU, to the peace our beautiful grounds brought to him, Kelvin shares why Dorothy House holds such a special place in his heart.
