Huge thanks to everyone from the Bath office of UK Top 100 law firm Royds Withy King, who have raised an amazing £23,361 for Dorothy House Hospice Care.
Pictured from left to right are associate solicitor at Royds Withy King Nicola Cutler, Junior Sister Kate Anderson, Great Britain modern pentathlete and Dorothy House sports ambassador Jo Muir and Dorothy House corporate fundraiser Henrietta Beard who met at the hospice in Winsley recently to celebrate the end of two years of fundraising and in-kind support from the firm.
Fundraising activities included two Bath Half Marathons, monthly dress down days, an auction of promises, raffles and a sponsored cycle ride from Bath to Paris.
Nicola Cutler, who is the charities co-ordinator at Royds Withy King in Bath, said, “We have had an incredibly rewarding two years raising funds for Dorothy House Hospice Care during a very special time for the charity as they celebrated their 40th anniversary. We have learnt so much about the amazing work that the charity does in our community for so many people and without the support of volunteers and fundraisers this could not be done. Our relationship with the fundraising team has been fantastic and their support for everything we have done has been invaluable.”
Every two years, lawyers and staff from Royds Withy King vote for local charities to benefit from their fundraising activities, volunteering and practical support. In 2015-17, the firm raised a total of £67,705.53 for three charities, including Dorothy House.
Henrietta Beard, Dorothy House Corporate Fundraiser, said, “We are immensely grateful for the support from the dynamic team at Royds Withy King. In the last two years, they have donated a truly impressive sum which will be a substantial help to the Hospice and our patients. Everyone at Royds Withy King has been a delight to work with throughout our two year collaboration. I think they must have the most enthusiastic and fittest staff in Bath after doing the Bath half marathon twice and cycling to Paris to name just a few of their many sporting endeavours in aid of Dorothy House! We look forward to working together again in the future.”
