Join us for our exciting new 5km fun run for Dorothy House at Odd Down Sports Ground in Bath on Sunday 13 October 2019 at 10.30am .
Take part in this timed and measured run in your lycra or your pyjamas – the choice is yours! All participants receive a free breakfast bap at the end plus a branded mug with a free cup of tea/coffee as a well-deserved reward.
What better way to start a Sunday morning by stretching those legs, having a yummy breakfast and helping patients at the same time!
> Free for children aged under 2 years
> £5 children (aged 2-16 years)
> £15 adults (aged 17 years+)
> £35 family ticket (2 adults, 2 children)
WHAT YOU GET
> Measured route – the 5km route will be measured accurately
> Running time – all runners will be chipped so will get their time from Split Second Timing
> Free breakfast – all participants will get a yummy breakfast once they’ve finished
> Free souvenir mug – everyone who takes part will receive a free branded mug with a free tea/coffee at the end. It’s a wonderful souvenir and great for the environment too!
> The fun run route consists of loops round the cycling track in the beautiful sports ground. It’s a relatively flat course which takes place on tarmac and is easily accessible for runners and spectators
There will be fabulous breakfast-themed prizes for the following winners:
> Best dressed child
> Best dressed adult
> Winning times for male and female age categories (categories to be announced)
The event is to raise money for Dorothy House Hospice Care. Runners don’t have to raise sponsorship but all monies raised makes a massive difference.
> £28 could pay for 1 hour of Nurse Specialist time delivering care to patients in our community.
> £56 could pay for 2 hours of Nurse Specialist time delivering care to patients in our community.
> £180 could pay for a full night of a Hospice at Home carer’s time, allowing a patient’s family to get some much-needed rest.
> Runners can wear normal running clothing or…dress ready for breakfast in your pyjamas and nightwear!
> Toilets and changing rooms
> Registration from 9.30am for all runners to collect their running number and timing chip.
> On-site cafe for supporters to purchase delicious food and drinks
> Dorothy House stalls
> Car parking is available on site. Once the car park is full we politely ask that all runners respect local residents by finding somewhere safe to park.
