Participants aged 12+ – You’ll get an amazing ho, ho, ho Santa hat, beard, jacket and trousers (people usually wear light running clothes underneath – it can get hot!). Please bring your own belt.  You receive your outfit on the day at registration.

All adult entrants are asked to aim to raise at least £40 in sponsorship OR to make a suggested donation of £40 in lieu of sponsorship for Dorothy House. Full event details and sponsorship forms will be e-mailed to all registered entrants.

Entry Ages
The Santa and Elf Run is open to all ages. Runners under 16 must be accompanied by an adult entrant. Full terms and conditions of entry can be seen on the Ts and Cs below.

Friends and family are very welcome to come and cheer on the Santa and Elf Run either along the route or at our Snow Station as the runners pass through the grounds of the hospice. Jolly cheerers can sprinkle the dashing Santas and Elves in biodegradable snow as they run past! Christmas jumpers and festive outfits are encouraged too.

Refreshments will be available for supporters to buy…plus there’ll be mulled wine!

If you know of anyone who’d like to marshal on the day, please e-mail emily.knight@dorothyhouse-hospice.org.uk THANK YOU to all our amazing volunteers who help make this event happen – we couldn’t do it without you!

This will be fully marshalled and all entrants and supporters will be directed into the field. The main car park will be kept clear for runners.

Dogs are welcome to take part in the Santa and Elf run but need to be on a short lead (owners must pick up any fouling).

Social Media
You can join the Santa and Elf Run conversation on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram too!

The Santa and Elf Run is a 2.5km run, jog or walk with the option of doing one loop (2.5km) or two loops (5km).  You choose whether to do one or two loops on the day.  The route starts and finishes in the grounds of Dorothy House and uses local lanes, footpaths and Winsley Cricket Club. We regret that the route is NOT suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs due to narrow stone stiles and muddy footpaths. Here’s the downloadable map of the route: Santa and Elf Run Route Map
