Trek Nepal in the ultimate Dorothy House Challenge 2020
25 April – 6 May 2020

We’re hugely excited about our new fundraising challenge! The Dorothy House Nepal Trek 2020 is a once-in-a-lifetime trip (no, really!). And it’s a challenge with a Dorothy House difference!

Find out more…

… at 6pm on 20 February 2019 at Dorothy House in Winsley when there will be a presentation by the tour company and an opportunity to ask LOADS of questions!

There are limited spaces on this amazing challenge! For more info, or to sign up for the presentation on 20 February (there is no charge – we just need to have some idea of numbers), contact Verity Clark at  or call 01225 721480.

Where are we going?

Nepal is the true home of adventure and this charity trek is a great opportunity for you to witness the culture and tradition of the people who live in the Nepalese countryside. Along the way there are spectacular views of the snowy peaks of the Annapurnas, including sunrise over the mountain range and a fascinating mountain panorama from Poon Hill – at 3,400m, the highest point on the trek. You’ll be staying in quaint, locally owned teahouses and guesthouses and experiencing local Nepalese food.

The Dorothy House difference?

You’ll be spending two days with Hospice Nepal – a non-profit hospice care organisation in Kathmandu which offers services and support to terminally ill patients and their families. It was set up by a team of local doctors in 2000 and since then has provided free medicine, therapy and support to those in need. This is an amazing opportunity to discover how hospice care is delivered in a very different part of the world.

The small print

The trip is exclusively for Dorothy House and is fully supported with English speaking tour leader, local trek guides, porters and support crew. The cost of the trip includes international flights, all transfers and transport in Nepal, all accommodation, all meals, trekking permits, 24-hour emergency support in Nepal and the UK, and full administration and pre-departure support.

Sounds truly amazing!! Ok, how much?

The cost of the trip is £3,500 per person which includes minimum sponsorship for Dorothy House (there is obviously no maximum – we’d love you to raise as much as possible :0). A registration fee of £395 will guarantee your place.
