Our advice line is available, 24 hours a day, for patients, their families and carers, and healthcare professionals, for clinical advice and support on someone’s care. Out of working hours it is run by experienced nurses who are caring for patients on our Inpatient Unit and it will be answered as promptly as possible.
Generally, when the nurse answering your call has listened to your problem they will do one of the following:
- advise you to contact a doctor or nurse who knows you
- give you advice to help with your problem and encourage you to ring again if you need further help.
During office hours (Monday to Friday, 8am – 6pm | Sat/Sun 9am – 5pm) we recommend you contact a professional who is familiar with you and your medical history. This may be your GP, a District Nurse or your Dorothy House Nurse Specialist.
Outside of office hours, please contact the advice line on 0345 0130 555
