Looking after yourself

Caring for someone can be physically and emotionally demanding, and can affect your own health. If you begin to feel overstretched or ill, you may find it difficult to continue caring for your relative or friend.

Taking care of yourself during this difficult time is really important. You yourself are going through a lot and that’s only sustainable for a short while before the situation takes its toll on you emotionally and physically.
