To be referred to Dorothy House you will need to talk to your GP, district nurse or other healthcare professional. They will be able to give you further information and advice on whether Dorothy House services are appropriate for you.
You can refer yourself to Dorothy House but we will contact your GP to make sure that we are the right service for you, as they will have access to all your medical information. We always need a completed referral form from a healthcare professional, but if you would like to discuss your situation further please call our Clinical Coordination Centre on 0345 0130 555 (Monday-Friday, 8-6pm; Saturday-Sunday 9am-5pm) or out of hours call 01225 722 999 (24hr Advice Line) or drop in to one of our Outreach Centres in Trowbridge or Peasedown St John.
Dorothy House is committed to providing a safe environment for both patients and carers at all times. Anyone attending the hospice for an individual consultation, examination or procedure may request, or bring their own, chaperone to accompany them. A chaperone can be a member of staff, volunteer, family member or friend. Please will you inform the staff making your appointment if you require the hospice to provide a chaperone for your consultation. Thank you.
