Frome Running Festival

Take on the much-loved Frome Running Festival and run 5km, 10km, a Half Marathon in support of Dorothy House Hospice Care.

After a year of huge success, the Frome Running Festival will return with our partners, Run For Charity. All courses will start and finish at the Old Showfield grounds, Frome’s biggest open green space. Plus we are excited to share that the organisers are bringing the family fun run so everyone can get involved!

The race will take you through the town’s picturesque historic centre with roads closed throughout, as well as plenty of support from the community of Frome and its surrounding villages.

There are two ways of registering to take part: A Dorothy House Bond Place or an Independent Place.

Dorothy House Bond Places

We have Dorothy House places up for grabs, which are available on a first come, first served basis. All runners who sign up for our Bond Place will receive a bespoke ‘Frome’ Running vest or t-shirt to wear on the day.

5k: £20 to register and a guarantee that you will raise £100 or more for Dorothy House.

10k: £25 to enter and a guarantee that you will raise £150 or more for Dorothy House.

And finally,

Half Marathon: £30 and a guarantee that you will raise £200 or more for Dorothy House.

If you need some tips to help with your fundraising target, our experienced team can give you extra support to help you reach that target.

Welcome to Team Dorothy House!

Once you’ve joined Team Dorothy House in the Frome Running Festival, we’ll send you a fabulous dotty running vest or T-shirt and Running Handbook full of info and tips to maximise your fundraising and enjoyment of the day.

Dorothy House will also have a place to go in the runner’s village on the day to welcome Team Dorothy House runners before and after the race.

By signing up to the 2026 Frome Running Festival you’ll receive fantastic benefits including:

Corporate support

Looking for a physical challenge for you and your colleagues? Join us at the Frome Running Festival and choose between three distances to include all abilities.

Not into your running? Join the Dorothy House volunteer cheerers as our runners take on a brilliant challenge or support our stall in the runner’s village.

We’d also welcome some corporate sponsorship for the event, the festival organisers would love to hear from local businesses who would like to be part of the day!
