Safeguarding

Dorothy House is committed to safeguarding every adult and child who uses our services. We work in an open and transparent way and encourage staff, volunteers, patients and families to raise any concerns about wellbeing.

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please call 999 to access the emergency services

If you are worried that you or a child or adult that you know may be being neglected or abused, it is important that you talk about this to someone who can help. At Dorothy House, all of our staff are trained to recognise and report wellbeing or safeguarding concerns to the appropriate person. Our safeguarding lead and social work team can support with safeguarding concerns and work with you around the concern. There may be a need to refer on to the local authority (council) safeguarding team, police or other professionals, depending on a number of factors, but we will discuss this with you before doing so.
