Wiltshire Community Foundation

Following several years of support for our key nursing services, the Wiltshire Community Foundation stepped up their support for Dorothy House during the pandemic and awarded two grants to ensure our vital care could continue.

Our Hospice at Home and Nurse Specialist services are fundamental to the palliative and end of life care we provide in the community.

During the pandemic, they have been more vital than ever, enabling patients to receive care in the safety and familiarity of their home, and ensuring families feel supported, reassured and rested.

Upon reaching out to the Wiltshire Community Foundation for support to help keep these crucial services going, the Foundation responded with grants totalling £15,000 through their Coronavirus Response Appeal. This generosity was directly responsible for funding hundreds of hours of care, making a lasting different to scores of Wiltshire patients and families.
