Walk for friendship. Walk for remembrance. Walk for those who need us most.
Join us on Saturday 14 March 2026 for our award-winning Men’s Walk to Support – a powerful day of camaraderie, challenge and community spirit, all in aid of local hospice care.
Whether you team up with your brother, son, dad or best mates, or choose to take it on solo, this is more than just a walk. The Men’s Walk to Support brings men together in solidarity to raise vital funds for end of life care in your local community – helping Dorothy House continue to provide comfort, dignity and compassionate support to patients and families when they need it most.
Choose your challenge
The Classic 8-Mile Route
This much-loved route is perfect for all abilities (age 8+) and a brilliant way to be part of something meaningful together.
NEW for 2026 – The 25-Mile Anniversary Route
To celebrate Dorothy House’s 50th Anniversary, we’re launching an exciting new 25-mile challenge starting at The Bridge Inn, Horton Road, Devizes. Walkers will join the 8-mile group along the Kennet & Avon Canal before finishing together at Bath Pavilion. It’s bold, rewarding, and your chance to truly rise to the challenge – are you ready?
A finish line worth walking for:
Every participant will receive a free Men’s Walk T-shirt, and the finish-line atmosphere will be one to remember. At Bath Pavilion you can relax, refuel and celebrate your achievement while we show two Six Nations games live. You’ll also receive a complimentary meal, freshly prepared by the fantastic team at SoulFlava and throughout the afternoon and evening there will be plenty of treats available to purchase, including:
- Mini Dutch Pancakes from Cheeky Pancakes
- Barista coffee and cakes from Perk Up Coffee
- Fresh pizza from SoulFlava available later in the evening
Locker Room Chat with Bath City Football Club
Dorothy House hosted a very special conversation at Bath City Football Club to help break the silence around men’s mental health, particularly when it comes to talking about grief and loss. To launch the 2026 Men’s Walk to Support, the Locker Room Chat features:
Bruce Eley – Volunteer, Bath City Foundation
Jim Rollo – Former Player & Assistant Manager, Bath City FC
Chris Gannon – Head of Wellbeing, Bath City Football Foundation
David McDonagh – Chairman, Bath City FC
Darren Way – Manager, Bath City FC
The conversation, facilitated by Dorothy House Hospice Care’s Family Support Lead, Dominic Denny, covers topics such as expectations upon men who are struggling, ways of coping with grief and the benefits of nature for positive wellbeing.

Corporate support
Our huge Men’s Walk to Support is back for 2026 to raise even more funds for care for patients and families in our local area.
As a business, there are plenty of ways to get involved, including bringing a team together to take part, supporting as a team of volunteers during the event or coming on board as a corporate sponsor.
If you’re interested in sponsoring, taking part or volunteering, please get in touch with our Corporate Team on corporate.partnerships@dorothyhouse-hospice.org.uk.
Event volunteers
The Men’s Walk can only take place each year thanks to the incredible help of a dedicated team of volunteers. Now, with an additional 25-mile route, we need more volunteers than ever to make the event a success.
If you’re looking for a different way to support the event, or love volunteering and supporting a local cause, then we’d love to have you. There are plenty of roles available throughout the day, so if you can give anything from a few hours to the whole day then you’d be perfect.
If you’re already a Dorothy House Volunteer, then you can sign up via Assemble, but if you haven’t volunteered with us before, then you can sign up here.
