Resources for parents and carers
Should children go to funerals? How do I talk to my child about cancer? How do I recognise signs of grief in my teenager? These are all common questions you might have when supporting a bereaved child or young person.
Children and young people experience the same emotions as adults when someone dies, but the way they express their emotions may differ. In particular, the age of a child or young person is important to consider when having conversations with them about death and dying.
Whether you are supporting a young person through the death of a parent, sibling, grandparent or friend, or navigating how to tell a child that someone they love has a life-limiting illness, our resources are here to help you navigate these challenging topics.
