An exciting programme of music for string orchestra including Serenades by Tchaikovsky and Mozart. Tchaikovsky’s dramatic and powerful  serenade is one of his greatest masterpieces. Mozart’s Serenata Notturna is a lighthearted work with a lively part for the timpanist.

The programme also includes “Dreaming” by Norman Young, a short contemplative piece featuring a beautiful violin solo played by our leader Sara Stagg. The programme will kick off with the first movement of Mendelssohn’s second string symphony composed when he was thirteen!

Entry £10.00 cash only on the door. Accompanied children free.
