London Marathon 2027

For the first time in its history, the TCS London Marathon will take place across two days on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 April, making 2027 a truly landmark year for one of the world’s most iconic running events.

This historic change means even more people will have the opportunity to be part of the London Marathon experience while raising vital funds for causes they care about. By joining Team Dorothy House, you’ll be part of a memorable moment in marathon history and help provide exceptional care for patients and families across our community.

 

 

Running the TCS London Marathon is an incredible achievement and a challenge you’ll remember for the rest of your life. Whether you’re running in memory of a loved one, thanking Dorothy House for the care you or your family have received, supporting your local hospice, or fulfilling a lifelong ambition, every mile you take and every pound you raise will help ensure that we can continue providing compassionate care and support to those who need us most.

Apply for a Dorothy House charity place

Applications for Dorothy House charity places in the 2027 TCS London Marathon are now open.

Places are extremely limited, so we encourage you to provide as much detail as possible in your application. Applications will be reviewed over the coming months, and successful applicants will be contacted directly.

If you are offered a charity place, you will be required to:

Pay a registration fee of £100

Commit to raising a minimum of £2,500 for Dorothy House.

Apply for a 2027 charity place

Please note, a decision will be made after the 2027 ballot draw is announced, usually in July 2026. Each successful applicant will then be required to make a payment of £100 (plus booking fee) for their place and guarantee that they will be able to raise £2,500 or more for Dorothy House.

Own place entry

If you are successful in the 2027 TCS London Marathon ballot, we would be delighted if you chose to run in support of Dorothy House. All you need to do is complete our ballot place form to join Team Dorothy House.

There is no minimum sponsorship target for ballot places; we just ask that you raise what you can. We will provide ongoing support, ideas, and resources to help you make the most of your fundraising.

What you'll receive when joining Team Dorothy House

As part of Team Dorothy House, you’ll receive:

  • A Dorothy House running vest
  • Fundraising tips, advice, and resources to help you reach your target
  • The opportunity to visit the hospice and see first-hand the difference your support makes
  • Encouragement and motivation from fellow runners through our dedicated WhatsApp group
  • Ongoing support from our friendly fundraising team throughout your marathon journey
