Volunteer Open Afternoon

We’re excited to be hosting a Volunteer Open Afternoon during national Volunteers’ Week, on Tuesday 3 June from 2.30 – 8pm at the Hospice in Winsley.

Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, and today more than 1,280 amazing volunteers give their time to Dorothy House so we can continue to offer free care to people with life-limiting illnesses, and their families.

During our Volunteer Open Afternoon, you can drop in at any time to chat to us about volunteering with Dorothy House and to learn about the wide range of volunteer roles available. We will also be giving a short presentation at 3.30pm and 7pm.

The Volunteer Open Afternoon will take place in our Bloomfield Hall and refreshments will be available. There’s no need to sign up – simply drop in at a time that works for you!

Whether you have a personal connection with Dorothy House, or you just want to give something back to your local community, we would love for you to come along and learn more about how you can get involved.
