Making a donation
Our shops can only accept clean and non damage donations to a maximum of 5 bags or boxes by any 1 individual. This allows everyone the opportunity to donate to us. Please click here for full details of what we can accept.
Donations – The latest government guidance on keeping workplaces COVID secure has now removed the requirement to quarantine donated and returned goods.
In accordance with new rules set out by the Government, face coverings are compulsory in our shops (but are not required in England for children under the age of 11 or those with disabilities or breathing issues).
Throughout the pandemic, our first priority has been the welfare of our workforce, customers and donors. Extra measures are in place to minimise risk to our shoppers and our workforce: we adhere to social distancing, we’ve made changes to how we process donations (resting all donations for 48hrs) and we have personal protective equipment available for our workforce.
Our shops are delighted to accept your clean, good quality donations. Broken or soiled items cannot be accepted so, please check that your donations are in good order.

Can I GiftAid my donations?Info
Yes! Did you know that by adding GiftAid to your donations they're worth 25% more to us? That will help raise even more much needed funds for Dorothy House at no extra cost to you. When you donate, you will be asked whether you are a tax payer and if you would like to GiftAid your donation. This means that for every £1 we make from your donation; the government will give us an extra 25p. So, if you are able to GiftAid, please do it!
