Last year, we cared for 2,486 patients
Our locally focussed, multi-disciplinary teams are now caring for more patients than ever out in our communities. In fact, we directly cared for 2,486 patients last year, meaning our care was brought closer to our patients, when and where they needed us the most. To put the work of our Community Palliative Care Teams (CPCTs) into perspective, last year Dorothy House cared for a total of 3,800 patients, carers and family members.
Your donation helps us to reach more people now and into the future
We continue to work in new and exciting ways to ensure we can meet the growing demand for our services, but we are not currently able to reach everyone in our community. In order to meet this growing need, we are asking you to consider investing in the future of hospice care, with a regular monthly donation. The care that your money could help provide is invaluable. Our patients only get one chance to have a good death, and the memory of how a loved one dies remains with their family forever.

The reality is that the need for many of our services is growing and we must increase our funding to meet this demand. With your support, we can continue to grow our services to ensure we are reaching patients and families when and where they need us the most.

Very little information will be included on our bank statement so we would not be able to confirm safe receipt or send you a thank you letter for your records.

If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to Gift Aid your donation – it won’t cost you a penny but it boosts your gift by 25%.
