• Raised over £60,000 for our core services, supporting access to exceptional personalised care to people in our community who are approaching death. 

• The business supports us in a variety of ways, including volunteering for the Christmas Tree Collection, match funding appeals, and taking part in our challenge events, including the Bath City Abseil.

• Bath ASU launched their coffee initiative in 2017, where 20p from every hot drink sold from their coffee machines is donated directly to Dorothy House.

• Since its launch, hundreds of thousands of cups have been consumed, making a real impact in support of palliative and end-of-life care in the community. 

• Together, Bath ASU and Pharmaxo Group have raised over £50,000 for Dorothy House. 

“The coffee machine fundraising scheme couldn’t be easier to run. Once the machines and payment platform are set up, it’s just a case of making one monthly donation. And drinking plenty of great coffee of course. It helps engage our team members directly in supporting Dorothy House, it makes it more active and personal. It is also easy, 20p is great value for a proper cup of coffee and all the cash goes to DH – literally no sweat!

…We think more coffee is purchased because staff know it is going to a good cause. It’s a good deal and is well worth the 20p, even without the donation aspect. But since it is also a charitable act, there’s no reason not to treat yourself and do a little good at least once a day.”

• HW Facilities has been dedicating their support since 2024. 

• Engaged employees, based around the country, have undertaken their own challenges to raise vital funds, including a Land’s End to John o’ Groats distance duathlon and the Three Peaks Challenge, and joined the Dorothy House skydive. 

• Since the partnership began, HW Facilities teams have raised over £5,000 in total.

Their care journeys begin at diagnosis and continue with bereavement support for loved ones. It’s a cause close to the hearts of many at our Westbury office, and we’re thrilled to contribute to their fundraising efforts.
